Presedential Conference (long post today)

Hi everybody Im having a good time on spring break and decided that I needed to write a new post. As you probally know the presedential conference is on now (or was yesterday) and Obama is talking about his budget plan. Personally I dont have much to say because I would probally misinformed about everything, but what I do know is that he needs to give us hope. As of now I have not heard anything positive come out of his mouth. Lets face it I know the times are tough and theirs nothing to be very optimistic about but we should try to be happy. The more happy we are the faster this will be over with. Another thing I felt like talking about was soldiers in the Army, Navy, and Military. When a politician talks about soldiers they sound like they’re talking about chess pieces. They think that war is a big giant game of chess, and if you look closely it is, but the pieces are our friends and family, the board is land with defenseless animals and natives and the players don’t care what happens as long as they get to be called a “winner.” Kids come in and ask me who won WW1 or the Vietnam War? There never really is a winner, because every war or chess game we end up losing our players and every game played on the board makes it tear that much more. And just like a chess game its never our last game we will play some more, win and lose pieces, use the board until it snaps, and then one of these two things will happen. A. Chess (war) gets old and we stop playing, this would be know as peace. Or chess (war) never gets old and we keep on playing until there are no more boards left to play and chess (life, happiness) ends.

So in case I’ve just bored you to death stick around because the fun part is coming up…..Britains Prime Minister, Gordon Brown said that Britian is facing more threats of eco-terrorism which is kind of scary for me because if Britian is suddenly taking precautions against eco-terrorism, shouldn’t the US take some precautions too, or are we just too busy with the economy. Don’t get me wrong here I know we have alot on our plate right now but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be thinking about other things too. A group of people are tracking down some hackers who have created and are planning to release an april fools day virus. All I know is that my computer is going to be covered in clovers and horse shoes. Whats also sad about this is that microsoft has given 250,000 dollars to stop these people. Who knows if there even is a virus. Well on a side note todays youtube video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av6fWfmugds its the first itsjustsomerandomguy video because I figured you have to start with the first episode. Thats all that really interested me today come check back tommorow for another edition of the daily brandon. I leave you with this question. What other part of the government and the american system should we be focussing on other than the economy? Leave all responses as a reply of the post.

Daily Post

Hi everybody. Today I tried snowboarding and if you have to make a choice of skiing or boarding defianatly board. First it is just more fun and second, well its just awesome! Now I will actually talk about something interesting. Natasha Richardson has just passed away while skiing on a green slope. Its a sad story and I hope that this teaches people to wear protective gear while performing any type of sport. Also since the news is so slow today I’ll talk about something that has been on my mind, and that is the death penalty. This punishment makes no absolute sense at all. Think about it for a second, a guy has murdered somebody in the first degree so he is given a punishment for murder then we murder him. Quite frankly isn’t this the same thing as a vigilante, and that is outlawed! Every human deserves the right to live even if it is in a jail cell. Our law system needs some work and we all know it and if any of our politicians stopped to think for a moment the death pelanty would be abolished by next week, but of course they don’t so the people who weren’t elected as leaders must do the thinking for them and lobby. Heres a video for you http://bluegobo.com/production.php?var=10228&mode=P&vid=0 and no its not on www.youtube.com its on www.bluegobo.com, its a site for watcing clips from broadway musicals. Well thats all that really mattered to me today. I will leave you with this question. Do you think facebook and other social networking sites are safe for tweens and teens? Leave all answers as a reply to the post.

Overdue blog post

I am sincerely sorry that I have not posted in a while. Today I want to talk about something that keeps getting me mad. A kid in my school keeps comes into my classroom and says something about how much some political leader is an idiot. Well it is fine to state your opinion but not when its all your dads words that is just unacceptable. I also want to post a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nOVggxZPL0 its from Slumdog Millionare (if you haven’t seen it your missing out) and in Bollywood its a tradition to do a dance after the movie. I would love to watch Tom Cruise break dance to a Justin Timberlake song, but I dont think that’ll be happening any time soon. Also I wanted to talk about the Economic crisis. If you go to www.cnn.com I bet you will find some pessimistic story about how bad the economy is. My theory is that if our news companys and our government officials start thinking positive we will be out of this crisis way sooner. They need to lead us through this hard time, like Roosevelt and so far Barack Obama isn’t boosting my spirts. Because quite frankly aren’t we all the “economy” and thats all that really mattered to me today. Check back tommorow  night for a new post.

Hello first of all thank you for reading my blog I really do appreciate it. Anyway todays news story is about the social networking site www.twitter.com If you havent heard about Twitter its a site where you can publish “tweets” or short messages about what your doing. Well a recent study shows that people who use Twitter and other social networking sites actually feel less lonely. Great so now as you pop all 20 of your pills while you talk to halofan999999999 in Japan. On a economical note THE ECENOMY SUCKS!! If you feel like educating me on what the hell a dow is then I will talk about the economy. I know you must be terribly dissapointed but dont be too sad because here is the video of the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZUPCB9533Y its by the same guy who made charlie the unicorn Please subscribe to him he’s AMAZING! and now my favorite part of the blog The Broadway Buzz. On todays broadway buzz I would like to talk about a new show coming to broadway called Spiderman The Musical. The show is directed by Julie Taymor and the music by Bono and The Edge. I have no clue what the hell Bono is thinking. If I had to guess this show will close in about a month. Well thats all that really mattered to me today. I will leave you with the question, If you could change on part of history what would it be? Please email all answers to brandonrakowski@optonline.net. If I like your answer I will feature you in the next blog.
